Xan Schwartz
Apprentice Therapist
Xan She/Her/Hers is a Master's in Counseling student at Naropa University with a focus on Somatic Therapy. She has a Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction and a Bachelor's in Creative Writing and Anthropology. Xan will graduate in the spring of 2025.
Xan invites clients into a slower, gentler pace than our everyday world. Through building trust, body awareness, and self-discovery, she invites you to peel back the layers that have accumulated between you and your authentic self. Xan hopes to foster radical honesty, self-growth, and love in the therapy space so that we can remember to center what is most important in this one wild and precious life. People finding freedom from the thoughts and patterns that are no longer working for them is important to Xan. Identifying emotions and finding contentment in the present moment are guideposts that she always comes back to.
Xan specializes in working with Adolescent and Teen Girls, Neurodivergent Folks, LGBTQIA+ and Asexual Folks, Elders, Somatic Therapy, and Spirituality and Value Exploration. People who are interested in mindfulness and body-awareness and who value authenticity, self-exploration, and being true to themselves may be a good fit for working with Xan.
Xan is currently living in Boulder but spent most of her life in the Midwest. She has recently done a lot of work with people with developmental disabilities and elders. Xan enjoys slow mornings, singing and writing poetry, being with her loved ones, drinking bubble tea, and the art of doing nothing.
