Lailani Bruff

Pre-Licensed Therapist

Lailani Bruff (she/her), MA, LPCC obtained her Master of Arts in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University. Lailani works to meet clients in the fullness of their experience with their own mind, body, and soul while paying attention to how each is being impacted in their life. With the understanding that suffering and grief are unavoidable, she is devoted to showing clients the importance in valuing strength and seeing strength where we once saw weakness. She believes that the client is the wisest person in the room when it comes to themselves and strives to share this with them. She feels energized when working with boundary setting, depression, anxiety, emotional/nervous system regulation, somatic healing, and grief and loss. She has a growing passion for working to build anger practices with her clients, and to provide space for folks to express, release, and nourish both the young and old versions of their anger. She feels that storytelling and the events that have led us all to this moment in time deserve to be held in nonjudgmental spaces. She has had professional experience working with women preparing to leave the jail system, as well as homelessness, and addiction. Recently, Lailani is bringing more attention and care to the parts of her client’s experiences that in the past were unwelcomed or misunderstood. She believes that laughter and humor can be a vital part of working through grief and trauma. She enjoys being playful and imaginative in all the ways she can and is an avid supporter of meditation, mosh pits, and medicines for the soul.
