Jen (she/her) graduated from Pepperdine University Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s in Psychology and has a post graduate certification from Purdue University in Addictions Counseling. Jen is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado.
Jen strives to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment that feels safe to do some great work together. Her therapeutic style combines proven behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, and psychodynamic therapy to help clients gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She works collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful patterns and create healthier ones that foster personal growth and lasting positive change.
Helping others is something that Jen greatly values. In a world that is becoming more disconnected, Jen believes that to be in healthy connection with self and others is a critical part of positive mental health. Jen specializes is counseling adults with anxiety, depression, and substance abuse issues. People who are willing to explore their values, take an honest look at themselves, are willing to do hard but incredibly rewarding work can benefit from partnering with Jen. Jen is a certified yoga instructor and can incorporate somatic-based therapies.
Jen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing yoga, cooking, hiking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She loves learning and connecting with others.
