Eric Bjorlin
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Eric (he/him) has a Master's of Social Work degree from Northeastern Illinois University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois.
Eric believes relationship is the central piece of a positive therapeutic relationship. He works to support individuals in becoming aware of one's own values to guide their growth and healing and the center one's life moving forward. He uses Narrative techniques to help individuals understand themselves and their experiences in ways to foster hope, agency, and meaning.
Eric sees therapy as a space for individuals to truly embody all of who they are. Eric loves to assist individuals in understanding their identities, values, and desires and in building the confidence and skills to live a life they are proud of. Eric works with clients from all backgrounds but has particular experience in work related men's issues, non-monogamy/polyamory, identity and value exploration, self esteem, and systems of oppression.
Individuals who struggle to deal with the expectations of the world, their community, their family, or themselves, who want to more confidently and fully embody who they are will, in particular, find great value in working with Eric.
Eric also brings his background in education, advocacy, anti-racism training, and systems thinking in ways that help contextualize the experiences we all face.
Eric enjoys going on bike rides, playing board games, and spending time in communion with friends and loved ones.
