Emily Prigmore

Therapist

Emily (she/her) has a Master's in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University and a Bachelor's in International Studies and Political Science from Rhodes College. Emily is a Licensed Social Worker in Colorado.

Emily aims to create a safe therapeutic environment through focusing on creating an authentic therapist-client relationship. She explores the connection between thoughts and emotion as well as behavior through inviting an unfiltered lens on relationships and living. Witnessing and holding people's stories is a privilege for Emily. She sees therapy as sharing in the effort of using life’s experiences as opportunities to grow closer to one's truest, most fulfilled self.

Emily specializes in working with adolescents and their families, anxiety symptoms, behavioral issues, service workers, sexual abuse (perpetrators and survivors), value exploration, and building self-esteem. People who may be resistant to the idea of therapy or not know where to begin may benefit from working with Emily.

Prior to attending graduate school, Emily worked as a bartender/server for many years, a wilderness therapy guide, and a sexual assault victim advocate. Emily enjoys mountain biking with her dog Elder, traveling, and seeing live music.
