Queer & Trans Pro Bono Program

We see you. We are you. We are here for you.

As a non-binary founded non-profit with LGBTQ+ representation among our leadership, therapists, administrative professionals, Board of Directors, and clients, we recognize the need for accessible mental health services in the Queer and Transgender community.

The LGBTQ+ community faces unique challenges when it comes to mental health, including increased rates of depression, anxiety, substance misuse, and suicide, stigma, discrimination, and lack of access to affirming resources. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness:

  • Queer adults are more than twice as likely as heterosexual adults to experience a mental health condition.

  • Transgender individuals are nearly four times as likely as cisgender individuals to experience a mental health condition.

  • Queer adults are nearly twice as likely as heterosexual adults to experience a substance use disorder.

  • Queer youth are more than twice as likely to report experiencing persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness than their heterosexual peers.

  • Transgender youth are twice as likely to experience depressive symptoms, seriously consider suicide, or attempt suicide compared to cisgender lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and questioning youth.

  • 40% of transgender adults have attempted suicide in their lifetime, compared to less than 5% of the general U.S. population.

We are providing FREE virtual mental health therapy sessions for underinsured Queer and Transgender individuals. Each participant will receive 4 free sessions. Upon completion of the program, participants have the option to continue services through our other ongoing affordable or free programs.

If you identify as Queer, Transgender, and/or part of the LGBTQ+ community, contact us to learn more about this program and get connected to one of our therapists.
