Our climate impact.
Mental health care that’s better for people and the planet.
At Kind Therapy Inc., our commitment to access begins with Earth. We reduce environmental harm by delivering therapy through secure, remote sessions, and eliminating unnecessary paperwork. Here's the impact of those choices: 846.89 metric tons of CO₂ saved through paperless and virtual therapy.
Annual Climate Impact
We started Kind Therapy Inc. with a mission to make mental health care more affordable. We didn’t expect that going paperless and remote would also become a quiet climate solution.
But here we are.
Most people don’t think about driving to therapy. But every session—client and therapist—used to mean two cars on the road. Two round-trips. Over and over again.
When we moved to virtual care, we didn’t just reduce barriers.
We cut over 198 metric tons of carbon emissions in 2024 alone.
That’s like pulling 43 cars off the road for a year.
We were taught to print everything: intake forms, client notes, treatment plans.
Every client meant a small stack of trees.
In 2024, we saved over 21,000 sheets of paper just by doing therapy online.
That’s fewer printers running. Less energy used. And forests left untouched.
By seeing clients remotely we’re quietly transforming how care and climate connect. No gas. No waiting rooms. No paper trail.
Just people helping people.
With less harm.
Since 2017, our remote, paperless model has prevented over 846 metric tons of carbon pollution from entering the atmosphere.
That’s more than 1 million pounds of CO₂—
the equivalent of planting 14,000 trees and letting them grow for a decade.
Or taking 185 gas-powered cars off the road forever.
And we’re just getting started.
We made something tender for a world that feels a little too hard.
For Earth, With Love is a free zine about care, creativity, and staying soft in uncertain times. It’s our gift to you—because healing is shared.
