Expanding Mental Health Equity for BIPOC Individuals in Denver.

FAQs

  • Khesed Wellness is committed to advancing mental health equity by providing accessible, affirming therapy for marginalized communities. With funding from Caring for Denver and the Nonprofit Finance Fund, we offer 24 free therapy sessions to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in Denver through this BIPOC Pro Bono Program. While this funding is currently limited to Denver, we are actively seeking additional support to expand this vital program to all our service areas (learn more).

  • BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color—a term that acknowledges the unique histories, challenges, and lived experiences of diverse racial and ethnic groups. While "people of color" (POC) has been used for centuries, BIPOC emphasizes the distinct struggles of Black individuals with darker skin and Indigenous communities, who have often been erased from broader racial discussions.

  • Systemic oppression and racial injustices create significant health disparities, making it harder for BIPOC individuals to access quality mental health care. While mental health conditions affect people of all backgrounds, race and identity can be barriers to treatment. That’s why Khesed Wellness prioritizes mental health equity by removing financial and systemic obstacles to care.

  • Eligibility Requirements:
